Lee Min Ho Voted as Most Famous Korean in Arab States
KBS World Radio held a survey asking which person first comes to mind when they think “Korean.” The survey took place from September 3 to September 17 and questioned individuals from the 22 countries that make up the Arab States.
It appears as though Lee Min Ho’s great popularity is becoming increasingly international. He came in first place with 14.8 percent of the votes. The survey included a variety of individuals including actors, singers, politicians, and more. Super Junior received 10.8 percent while EXO got 9 percent of the votes. 5.1 percent of voters selected actress Park Shin Hye. Lastly, United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki Moon and President Park Geun Hye both had 2.6 percent of the votes respectively.
When asked what comes to mind with the word “Korea,” 52.1 percent of voters chose Korean content which includes dramas and films. 18.3 percent of the surveyed individuals selected the Korean stars category.
Lee Min Ho has been able to garner much popularity and love through his popular dramas “Boys Over Flowers,” “City Hunter,” “Heirs,” and more. It appears as though his popularity is only continuing to grow in other parts of the world such as China and the Arab States.
