
Suzy Spent 10 Hours Filming in the Rain for "The Sound of a Flower”
It has been revealed that miss A’s Suzy spent about 10 hours filming in the rain for the upcoming movie “Dorihwaga” (English title: “The Sound of a Flower”).
On November 3, CJ Entertainment released still cuts from the movie. The film tells the story of the first female pansori singer in the Joseon dynasty, Jin Chae Sun.
In the released still cuts, Suzy is seen screaming in the rain with a cliff and waterfall in the backdrop. It is said that Suzy spent about 10 hours wearing a thin hanbok on top of a rocky mountain in Cheongdo County of North Gyeongsang Province.
Actor Ryu Seung Ryong commented, “It’s a difficult scene with repeat takes. But she’s learning through experiencing the pain. Seeing her work it out, I believe she’ll grow to be a great actress.”
Despite being a woman in 1867, Jin Chae Sun dreamed of becoming the first female pansori singer. “The Sound of a Flower” is about her quest for her dream and her teacher, the pansori master Shin Jae Hyo. The movie is scheduled to release on November 25 in Korea.
