Watch: Joo Won Wins Most Influential Asian Award in China

On November 3, actor Joo Won was awarded the Most Influential Asian Award in Beijing Gongti Stadium. 

The Most Influential Asian Award is given to an individual or a group that is most influential in the areas of cultural arts. Through a voting process, the person who is most talented and influential in fashion, public service, community, entertainment, and other fields is selected.

Joo Won attended the ceremony as the artist representing Korea and won the award. He even performed the Chinese song “Peng You” live, lighting up the stage.

The actor received an enthusiastic reaction from his fans when he spoke in Chinese to express his gratitude. He said, “I’m so grateful for this award. I’ll do my best to become the actor who leads the Hallyu movement in Korea and China. Thank you.”

There were many other Chinese entertainers like Sammo Hung, Yang Mi, Hawick Lau, Hans Zhang, Wu Jing, Wang Li Kun, and Lee Chun who attended the ceremony. Other Chinese performers were also in the lineup to perform on stage.
