The Celebrities Taking or Opting Out From College Entrance Exam This Year

The college entrance exam for the 2016 school year is coming up in a week and many are interested to see what stars will be taking it this time around. The exam will take place on November 12 and students born in 1997 will be taking it this year.

Compared to last year, there are many more stars putting their all in prepping for the college entrance exam this year. However, there are also those who have decided to put their focus more on their field of work instead of college.

To start off, there are many idol singers who will be taking the college entrance exam this year. Among those are GFRIEND’s Yuju, Lovelyz’s Ryu Soo Jung, and DIA members, Eun Jin, Ye Bin, and Chae Yeon. In addition, SEVENTEEN’s Mingyu, Dokyeom (DK), and The8, as well as GOT7’s Yugyeom will be taking the test. Their agencies have confirmed that they will be taking the college entrance exam this year.

Actor Yeo Jin Goo has already become a college student after being accepted into Chung-Ang University in the Department of Theater. Actor Kim Min Jae from “Twenty Again” and “Because It’s The First Time” will also be joining Yeo Jin Goo as a student in Chung-Ang University.

Actress Park So Young from “Scholar Who Walks the Night” and “Heard It Through the Grapevine” is currently waiting on acceptance news into a college for film and theater majors.

There are many stars who have decided not to take the college entrance exam. They have explained that due to their occupation in the entertainment field, it will be difficult for them to regularly attend classes in college. They also added that they will be pushing back plans for a college education in order to work harder and become a better actor or singer.

TWICE members Jihyo and Mina have not made plans to take the exam. Oh My Girl’s Binnie also has not made any plans to take the exam or prepare for college. Oh My Girl’s Jiho and “Superstar K4” singer Yoo Seung Woo have stated that they will commit to their singing activities.

15&’s Park Jimin and Baek Yerin have both pushed back plans for college and decided to focus on their singing careers. An official from JYP stated, “Park Jimin and Baek Yerin will not be going to college this year.” Both currently attend the Hanlim Entertainment and Arts High School.
