Girls Generation's Seohyun to Make Big Screen Debut in Chinese Film
Girls’ Generation‘s Seohyun will reportedly make her big acting debut in a Chinese film entitled “So I Married an Anti-Fan.”
According to industry insiders, she has been confirmed to act in the upcoming film, which also stars Seohyun’s fellow SM artist Chanyeol as the male lead and Chinese actress Yuan Shan Shan as the heroine.
It appears that Seohyun will play a junior trainee who is under the same entertainment company as Chanyeol.
On November 2, the Girls’ Generation member was spotted leaving for Shanghai to participate in the first filming held on the following day, suggesting that the rumors about her being cast for the movie are true.
Apart from a minor role on SBS’ drama “Passionate Love,” Seohyun has not ventured out to acting unlike many other Girls’ Generation members. She has, however, already proven her talent through musicals like “Gone With the Wind” and “Moon That Embraces the Sun,” and fans are excited to see her finally make her big screen debut.
Based on a popular webtoon, “So I Married an Anti-Fan” follows the eventful love story between a top male celebrity and an ordinary reporter.
