Former After School Member Lee Joo Yeon to Play Two Roles on "Saimdang, the Herstory"

Lee Joo Yeon has been cast for her first drama since announcing her “graduation” from girl group After School last December.

According to her representative, she is set to play one character but two personalities in the highly anticipated historical drama “Saimdang, the Herstory.”

The idol-turned-actress will reportedly have a significant role in the overall story and act closely alongside Lee Young Ae, who is also set to take on a double role.

Other actors confirmed for the star-studded production include Song Seung Hun and Oh Yoon Ah.

Marking Lee Young Ae’s first drama in 11 years and Lee Joo Yeon’s official debut as an actress, “Saimdang, the Herstory” is expected to air in early 2016.
