
EXO Tops Oricon Chart Within 5 Days of Releasing Debut Japanese Single
Idol group EXO has proven once again their continuing popularity, climbing to No. 1 on the Oricon Singles chart within a few days of releasing their debut single in Japan.
According to Oricon Style, “Love Me Right ~romantic universe~” reached No. 1 on the Daily Singles Chart on November 8. On the day of its release, the song achieved over 60,000 digital downloads.
The new single is the Japanese version of “Love Me Right,” the title track of the repackaged version of EXO’s second full-length album. The group also released a new song called “Drop That.”
On October 31, EXO performed a two-day concert “EXO PLANET #2 The ExoluXion” in Fukuoka. On November 6 to 8, they played a three-day concert at the Tokyo Dome. They are scheduled to perform at the Kyocera Dome in Osaka from November 13 to 15. They currently hold the record in Japan among foreign artists for the shortest period between their debut in Japan and their first dome concert.
