While “Beat It” is widely loved for its fast tempo and Michael Jackson’s powerful voice, Lovelyz’ acapella version of the song is going viral between western media.
The group performed the song on October 30 through “Yoo Hee Yeol’s Sketchbook.” Since then, several media outlets have covered the group’s impeccable cover, including Perez Hilton, Melody Mendez, and Stuff.co.nz. Below is a clip of the girls’ cover that is gaining so much attention.
This isn’t the first time the group has showcased a sweet mix of harmonies that reflect the girls’ strong vocal skills and coordination. In the past, they have done acapella covers of Little Mix’s “Word Up!” and Taylor Swift’s “We’re Never Getting Back Together.”
