“Infinite Challenge” Donates Proceeds from Calendars to Students in Need and Shares Recipients’ Letters
MBC‘s “Infinite Challenge” has once again donated the proceeds from the sale of their yearly calendar to those in need, and they’ve now shared touching excerpts of letters from some of the recipients.
On November 18, photos were posted to “Infinite Challenge”‘s official Facebook of letters from elementary, middle, and high school students who had received scholarships funded by the proceeds from the calendars.
The recipients were chosen because of their resilience and bright attitudes despite difficult situations at home, and the scholarships were given to help them achieve their dreams and encourage them to follow their passions. 160 elementary, middle, and high school students and 111 university students received scholarships funded by the sales of the calendars in 2015.
The letters include messages such as one from a mother of a recipient that reads, “Due to our circumstances, I wasn’t able to send my child to after-school classes, and so as a mother it was very upsetting. But after receiving the scholarship, I’ve sent my child to the academy they wanted to go to, so I am so happy and grateful.”
Another letter from a student says that the scholarship will help them study English so that they can achieve their dream of being a doctor, while another says it will help them take up cello lessons again.
Pre-orders for the 2016 “Infinite Challenge” calendar and diary begin on November 19 at noon KST online at MBC TShop and Gmarket, and proceeds from this year’s sales will also be donated to charity.
