KittiB Lists Pros and Cons of Idol Rappers

Rapper KittiB, who was the runner-up on Mnet’s rap survival program “Unpretty Rapstar 2,” recently shared her thoughts on idol rappers.

When asked to judge the idols on “Unpretty Rapstar 2” with her, she said, “Onstage, they’re amazing. Their ability to perform without being nervous is something I need to learn.”

She specifically mentioned SISTAR’s Hyorin and FIESTAR’s Yezi. “If Hyorin and Yezi prepared 100 percent, then they showed 140-150 percent onstage. They performed exactly what they wanted to show and rapped all their lines without getting overexcited. When I’m feeling good, I tend to get overexcited.”

KittiB also spoke humbly of her own talents. “I thought I had a lot of stage experience, but when I watched them, I thought that I was lacking.”

The rapper only had one criticism to offer. “If idol rappers wrote down their own thoughts and showed everything they had, then I’d have no complaints,” she said. “They are sometimes suspected of having their lines written for them, which is a matter of pride among people who do hip-hop. If it wasn’t for that, I would have no negative thoughts toward idol rappers.”

KittiB debuted in 2012 with the song “I’m Her,” co-produced by and featuring Zion.T. After finishing as one of the finalists on “Unpretty Rapstar” this November, she signed with label Brand New Music under Rhymer.
