BTOB’s Ilhoon Releases Hip-Hop Remix of HyunA’s “Roll Deep”
BTOB’s Ilhoon recently showed off his producing talents by remixing Cube Entertainment labelmate HyunA’s summer hit “Roll Deep.” The hip-hop remix was released on United Cube’s official SoundCloud account, as well as shown through the third season of BTOB’s cover song project “I Will Be Your Melody.”
The idol rapper had actually featured in the original version, showing off his rapping skills alongside HyunA’s trademark sexy charisma. The remix features the same heavy beat and addictive hooks as the original, though this time Ilhoon sings and raps the whole song. He has also rewritten the lyrics and chorus to better fit his unique style.
The original song is “I Am the Best” in Korean, while the remix version has been titled “I Need to Be the Best.” While HyunA’s version overflowed with self-confidence, Ilhoon’s is instead brimming with the ambition befitting Cube’s youngest boy group.
BTOB has recently wrapped up concerts in Hong Kong and Osaka and are preparing for their second solo concert “BORN TO BEAT” on December 19-20. You can listen to the song on SoundCloud or watch the video below.
