TaeTiSeo Sweeps iTunes Charts Worldwide With “Dear Santa”

Girls’ Generation’s subunit TaeTiSeo have proved their global popularity by sweeping iTunes charts worldwide with their new Christmas album, “Dear Santa.”

“Dear Santa” was released on iTunes around the world on December 4 and quickly rose to No. 11 on the Worldwide iTunes Album Chart. In addition, “Dear Santa” peaked at No. 1 on the iTunes album charts in Hong Kong, Taiwan, Thailand, Singapore, Macau, Vietnam, Brunei, Malaysia, and Cambodia. They reached the top 10 in many other countries, including Indonesia, Japan, Hungary, the Philippines, and Costa Rica.

Not to be stopped there, the album also reached No. 1 on the Pop Albums Chart in nine Asian countries, including Hong Kong, Taiwan, Thailand, Singapore, Macau, Vietnam, Malaysia, Cambodia, and Indonesia. On other continents, they reached within the top 10 in several European countries, No. 9 in Canada, and No. 12 in the U.S.

The subunit, composed of members Taeyeon, Tiffany, and Seohyun, held their first comeback stage on KBS’ “Music Bank” on December 4, putting on a musical-like performance full of holiday spirit. They will be performing on “Music Core” and “Inkigayo” on December 5 and 6 respectively, performing not only their title track “Dear Santa” but “Winter Story” and “Merry Christmas” as well.
