Kwak Si Yang Brings Kim So Yeon to Tears on "We Got Married"

Kwak Si Yang and Kim So Yeon, who seem to be becoming more and more alike, grew even closer together as they became known as the “crying couple.”

On the December 5 broadcast of MBC’s “We Got Married,” Kim So Yeon sheds tears when she receives a birthday meal from her husband.

For Kim So Yeon’s birthday, Kwak Si Yang wakes up early to prepare her a special meal. Despite his busy working schedule, he puts maximum effort and sincerity in this surprise gift. Of course, he keeps it a secret from Kim So Yeon the whole time.

The couple heads over to an Italian restaurant to eat, but to Kim So Yeon’s surprise, the restaurant does not serve her any Italian food. Instead, the table is set with many Korean dishes, including seaweed soup, a traditional dish eaten on birthdays.

Kwak Si Yang then reveals his surprise to a touched Kim So Yeon, who is brought to tears. Seeing his wife cry, Kwak Si Yang begins to tear up as well. Kim So Yeon happily says, “Today is definitely a day I will never forget. I must have saved seven nations in a past life.”

Kwak Si Yang then brings Kim So Yeon to a completely empty amusement park, reserved just for the couple. The two go on multiple rides and enjoy an innocent, romantic date.

“We Got Married” airs every Saturday at 5:25 p.m. KST.
