Super Junior, Girls' Generation, f(x), and EXO Sweep 2016 iQiyi Night
Groups Super Junior, Girls’ Generation, f(x), and EXO won awards at the 2016 iQiyi Night awards ceremony. China’s top online video site, iQiyi, held their awards ceremony, “Shout, 2016 iQiyi Night,” in Beijing on December 5.
Having received a lot of love throughout Asia in the past year, Super Junior, Girls’ Generation, f(x), and EXO won the “Music Daesang” award, which was given to a total of eight groups.
With another million seller album this year, EXO also won “Asia’s Popularity Award.” Super Junior, who released their special album “Devil” for their tenth anniversary and Girls’ Generation, who released their album “Lion Heart” this year, both won the “Asia’s Best Group” award. f(x)’s Victoria, who is very active in both Korea and China, won the “Asia’s Most Influential Person” award.
Leeteuk attended the ceremony as the representative of Super Junior. Upon receiving his awards, he said, “Thank you very much for giving us this big award. I want to thank our fans who have continually loved us for ten years. We will continue to work harder as a group.”
YoonA accepted her group’s award and said in Chinese, “Girls’ Generation exists because of our fans. I will share this happiness with my fellow group members.”
Victoria accepted her award saying, “I want to thank iQiyi and the fans for this award. f(x) will work harder in the future.”
EXO, who could not attend the ceremony, expressed their gratitude through a video message. They said, “It is an honor to be able to receive such a great award. I want to thank EXO-L for this award. We will become an EXO that always works hard.”
