Oh My Girl Detained at Los Angeles Airport for Over 7 Hours, Has Decided to Just Return to Korea

Oh My Girl landed in Seoul this morning, December 11 KST, at 8:21 a.m. A WM Entertainment rep commented that the members are very tired and will be resting today with nothing scheduled. “We are discussing what to do with the disrupted filming.”

Oh My Girl, along with filming for their new album, was also planning to perform at a Korean-American event without receiving any payment; however, they didn’t apply for the proper visa beforehand. Although they were able to pass through the immigration check, the group’s many outfits and equipment became an issue for customs.

WM Entertainment has stated that after being detained for 10 hours at an airport in Los Angeles, they have just decided to book the next flight back to Korea. In regards to completing the album jacket photoshoot, which they went to Los Angeles for, “After the members return home, we’ll organize again,” stated the agency.

Rookie girl group Oh My Girl has reportedly been detained at an airport in Los Angeles.

A representative of their agency revealed on December 10, “The members of Oh My Girl departed for the U.S. on December 9 to prepare for their new album. But as far as we know, they have been detained at the airport for over seven hours.”

“The members of Oh My Girl and their staff successfully passed through immigration, but it appears that their filming equipment and outfits for the album jacket shoot have become a problem. Apparently there has been a misunderstanding during the customs inspection. We are trying to find out what exactly has happened.”

Meanwhile, Oh My Girl debuted in April and followed up in October with their second mini album and its title track “Closer.”
