At the seventh Annual Philippine K-Pop Convention, SEVENTEEN was given the award for top rookie group of the year. The award ceremony took place on December 19 at the Philippine Trade Training Center in Pasay.

SEVENTEEN’s agency, Pledis Entertainment, said, “From their debut, SEVENTEEN has showed their growth through their energetic promotions. We are happy that they are receiving acknowledgement internationally as well as within Korea. From now on, SEVENTEEN will show new sides of themselves to their fans through their music and performances.

Pledis Entertainment went on to thank SEVENTEEN’s domestic and international fans for loving K-pop in general and showing interest in SEVENTEEN in particular. “We will work hard to continue to show SEVENTEEN’s unique appeal.”

SEVENTEEN was the only Korean artist listed on Billboard’s “21 Under 21” list in the fall and for two consecutive weeks held the No. 1 spot on the Gaon Social Chart. Their second mini-album “Boys Be” reached No. 1 on the Billboard World Album Chart and in September, Billboard listed their music video as the No. 2 most watched K-pop music video for that month.

In addition, the group has sold over 160,000 copies of their two mini-albums, “17 Carat” and “Boys Be,” one of the highest album sales among the rookie boy groups.

SEVENTEEN is scheduled to hold their first solo concert at the Yongsan Art Hall from December 24 to 26.
