Duet by Lee Soo Jung and Jung Jin Woo Brings Park Jin Young to Tears on "K-Pop Star 5"
It’s not a common sight to see a judge on an audition program cry. But when it happens, it means something amazing happened on stage.
Something amazing happened this weekend on the latest episode of SBS‘s “K-Pop Star 5,” when two early favorites of the show, Lee Soo Jung (from Chicago, Illinois) and Jung Jin Woo (who had auditioned for Season 3 of the show), got together for a duet, singing Ariana Grande’s “Almost Is Never Enough.”
When deciding teams, for the performance, Lee Soo Jung picked Jung Jin Woo, who readily agreed. As much as the two wanted to work together, they put on quite a show, rendering the audience and judges speechless.
The judges struggled to express all the ways that they loved the performance, Yoo Hee Yeol saying it was like watching a mini drama, and Yang Hyun Suk saying he’s become a fan.
Park Jin Young got a bit more technical with his feedback, saying that the technique with which Lee Soo Jung sings is completely unique, and that while Jung Jin Woo was more colorful and “better,” Lee Soo Jung was a breath of fresh air.
