Remake Trend Rises in Music Industry Thanks to "Reply 1988"
Hit songs in the 80s have been gaining massive popularity thanks to “Reply 1988” OSTs. This is also starting a remake trend in the music industry that is receiving positive feedbacks from music lovers.
On Decemeber 16, Davichi released a remake of Fin.K.L‘s “White” featuring Jay Park.
Brown Eyed Girls‘ Ga In recently released a Christmas single, which includes a remake of her 2006 song “Must Have Love” with Eric Nam.
Singer Shin Yong Jae released a remake of his duet song with Lynn “That Kind of Person (tentative title)” by changing it into a solo track. This song has been included in “Oh My Venus” OSTs and has been quite popular among fans.
AOA‘s Choa released a remake of Jang Hye Jin‘s “Flame,” which also features Leessang‘s Gary.
Actress Ku Hye Sun has recently released a remake of her 2010 song “A Day Without Sound,” and MAMAMOO‘s Solar made a remake of Yeo Jin‘s 1979 song “Longings Stacked,” which is doing well in the music charts as of now.
