GFRIEND to Join EXO, BTS, and More at 5th Annual Gaon K-Pop Awards

The six-member girl group GFRIEND will be taking part in the 5th Gaon K-Pop Awards in February! They will be joined by many of their seniors, such as EXO, BIGBANG, BTS, and Girls’ Generation‘s Taeyeon, as well as their fellow rookie group iKON.

The Gaon K-Pop Awards are hosted by Gaon, a major domestic music chart, and give out awards to artists based on the highest digital sales each month and the highest album sales each quarter. GFRIEND released their debut mini-album in January with “Glass Bead” and recently had a good performance on the music charts with their summer hit “Me Gustas Tu.” Known for their innocent, fresh concept, the track and the group also catapulted further into the public eye with their viral video on a rainy stage.

The 5th Gaon K-Pop Awards will take place on February 17.
