Rapper Masta Wu Leaves YG Entertainment to Establish His own Label
Rapper and hip-hop artist Masta Wu has left YG Entertainment to start his own record label.
YG Entertainment announced the departure in a statement on January 8. The company also promised to continue to support Masta Wu with his activities in the future.
Before signing on with YG Entertainment, Masta Wu was an underground rapper. He released his debut album “Masta Peace” in 2003. Most recently, he released the song “Come Here” featuring Dok2 and iKON‘s Bobby in 2014. He has also written many songs for his former label mates, including 2NE1 and Lee Hi.
