Expectation vs. Reality: Meeting Your K-Pop Idol
How many times have you dreamt of meeting your bias in the flesh? Actually seeing them in front of you, instead of just a cluster of pixels on a Youtube video. The hours spent daydreaming about seeing their adorable smile and fluffy hair.
So, imagine that you are meeting your idol, how would you react? Or how do you like to think you’d react?
Picture this: You’re walking down the street and suddenly you spot your bias!

You walk up to your bias:
Expectation:

Reality:

You try striking up a casual conversation
Expectation:

Reality:

You try to show off your aegyo:
Expectation:

Reality:

You finally manage to say a few words and they ask you:
“Which of our dances do you like the best?”
Okay this is your time to shine!
Expectation:

Reality:

It’s okay, you can still save this! Let out that beautiful voice of yours!
Expectation:

Maybe singing isn’t your thing, but you don’t listen to BTS for nothing, time to bust out those rapping skills.
Expectation:

Okay well this isn’t going as planned, so time to say your goodbyes.
Expectation:

So you might not be as cool as you’d have hoped and you might feel a bit embarrassed, but your bias is probably thinking how cute it is that you’re nervous!
And just think about all the funny, awkward videos there are of them floating around the internet (pre-debut gems like x and this x) so when you meet your bias, don’t be afraid to let your amazing self show!
(you’ll most likely get a hug out of it too just saying)
