Rookie Boy Group Member Shocks With Gender Reveal on “King of Mask Singer”
Jaws drop this week on “King of Mask Singer” when one of the contestants takes off their mask for one of the show’s most surprising reveals yet!
In the second round on January 17’s episode of “King of Mask Singer,” the contestant going by the alias Siren Uhwoodong performs a beautiful rendition of “Tears” by So Chan Whee while wearing a dress inspired by traditional Korean female outfits and a feminine mask.
The judges are very impressed, and they guess that Uhwoodong is either the lead vocal of a girl group or an experienced trot singer, with all of them assuming Uhwoodong is a woman.
Everyone is naturally shocked therefore when Uhwoodong loses the round and has to take off their mask to reveal their identity. As the audience gasps, the judges seem frozen in shock when they see that Uhwoodong is UP10TION’s Sunyool!
“A guy?!” they yell in surprise. Sunyool just laughs as everyone gets over the shock. He then jokes, “I’m very sorry to all the male members of the panel, and any male fans.”
Did you guess that it was Sunyool behind the mask?
