Kim Woo Bin and Lee Hyun Woo's "The Technicians" Gets a Sequel

A sequel is in the works for the 2014 movie “The Technicians.”

Reports revealed on January 20 that Chinese enterprise Alibaba Group has invested around 15 billion won (approximately $12 million) into producing a sequel for the film starring popular actors Kim Woo Bin and Lee Hyun Woo.

The producers are currently casting leads for the sequel. It is unclear whether actors featured in the previous film will be joining the new production.

“The Technicians 2” is set to be produced by Trinity Entertainment and directed by Park Hong Soo, who is best known for his work on the 2013 thriller “Commitment.”

Meanwhile, “The Technicians” enjoyed moderate success in the domestic box office, reaching 2.5 million viewers.
