“Youth Over Flowers” Rep Shares More Details of Plans for “Reply 1988” Cast Members’ Trip
After it was announced that four cast members from “Reply 1988” had been “kidnapped” by the travel reality show “Youth Over Flowers” for its next season, more details about their trip have been revealed!
As was reported on January 22, “Reply 1988” cast members Ryu Jun Yeol, Go Kyung Pyo, and Ahn Jae Hong were surprised during their reward vacation with fellow cast and crew in Thailand when they were told they would be taking a trip to Africa for “Youth Over Flowers.” Park Bo Gum had to return to Korea before everyone else to film “Music Bank,” but it’s reported that he was surprised outside the KBS building after the show and also put on a plane to join his fellow cast members on the adventure.
In a January 23 interview, a representative from the “Youth Over Flowers” production team says, “We’ve been working in close connection with the production team of ‘Reply 1988’ for the past two months for this project, and have prepared their trip in secret.”
It’s now been revealed that the country they are mainly traveling in is Namibia, which is located in the southwest of Africa.
The “Youth Over Flowers” representative states, “Namibia, where the four boys of Ssangmoon-dong from ‘Reply 1988’ are traveling, is known as ‘Africa’s hidden jewel.’ It’s a popular tourist destination for Europeans.”
“It’s expected that there will be lots for them to see, as the country is famous for its orange-colored Dune 45 and known as a heaven for wild animals,” they say. “Their ultimate goal will be to see Victoria Falls, one of the largest waterfalls in the world.”
A picture has also been shared of Ryu Jun Yeol, Go Kyung Pyo, and Ahn Jae Hong looking like they’re still slightly in shock about this unexpected trip. It’s planned that the four guys will be spending ten days traveling together, and return home in early February.
