Park Gyuri Confirmed to Join KBS Drama "Jang Young Shil"

Former KARA member Park Gyuri has joined the cast of KBS1TV‘s historical drama “Jang Young Shil.”

According to a drama representative, she took part in a filming on January 26. Her first appearance will take place via the episode scheduled to air on January 30.

It was previously reported she would be playing a royal bodyguard of Jang Young Shil, played by Song Il Gook, but this information has turned out to be false. Instead, she will be portraying the only daughter of the Ming royal family.

This drama role will mark Park Gyuri’s first official activity since the disbandment of KARA earlier this month.

Meanwhile, “Jang Young Shil” starring Song Il Gook airs on the weekends at 9:40 p.m. KST.
