Boy Group Member Wows With Moving Performances on “King of Mask Singer”
A boy group member touches the hearts of the audience and judges panel on this week’s episode of “King of Mask Singer” with his beautiful performances.
The contestant Square’s Dream first performs a cover of the song “Mom” by Ra.D as part of the show’s second round, and the combination of the song’s moving lyrics and his beautiful voice even brings some of the listeners, including Kim Gura, to tears. One of the judges comments that f(x)’s Luna has also performed the song on the show before, but that Square’s Dream had shared a totally different rendition with them.
When asked who he thinks the singer behind the mask might be, BTOB’s Yook Sungjae says that the song is one that a lot of trainee idols practice singing, and he thinks the only idol singer with such a husky voice and broad shoulders would be 2PM’s Jun.K.
Square’s Dream wins the second round and advances to the next, where he sings Lee Juck’s “Rain.”
Unfortunately, he loses the round to the contestant Music Captain, and so he has to reveal his identity. When Square’s Dream removes his mask, it’s revealed that he is indeed 2PM member Jun.K!
During his final interview, Jun.K says, “My mom doesn’t know I’m on this show, and she’ll probably see me on television. I’m grateful that she brought me along this path so that I could achieve my dream. The luckiest thing that’s happened to me in my life has been meeting my mother.”
Were you surprised when Jun.K revealed his identity on “King of Mask Singer”?
