Seohyun Says She Breaks Through Her Expected Image on Musical Stages

Seohyun acknowledged that the public had certain expectations for her.

During an interview with News1star she commented on the differences between a musical actor and an idol group member.

“There are limitations to how the public sees me,” Seohyun said. “On the musical stage, I want to show them Seohyun as a real human. When I go to the practice room, I go in casual clothes. It’s more comfortable that way.”

“As an idol group member, I think we all blend in as sisters. Even though I’m the youngest, we’re all around the same age, so sometimes we get along and sometimes we don’t. On the other hand, I feel like our musical team is becoming more like a cozy family. Though we’re not there yet, I think we will soon become a real family,” she said.

Meanwhile, Seohyun takes on the role of Sophie in the musical “Mamma Mia!,” which will open on February 24. “Mamma Mia!” is a musical filled with ABBA’s 22 hit songs and has attracted over 60 million viewers in over 440 cities.
