8 Incheon Airport Hacks So You Can Fly Like a Pro

Incheon Airport is one of the busiest airports in the world and has been rated as the world’s cleanest airport and world’s best international transit airport by many travel organizations throughout the years.

However, being that it is so large, it can be difficult to make full use of all of the great amenities offered at this airport. Here are eight great hacks that you should remember to take advantage of the next time you pass by the Incheon Airport!

1)   Stash Your Belongings at Clean Up Air

For those of you who are traveling to warm climates in the winter, there is a 24-hour coat room at the airport. If you go to the first floor of the basement level in the passenger terminal, you can find Clean Up Air, a place where you can store your winter coat and retrieve it later.

2)   Go to the Sauna at Spa On Air

In addition to the 24-hour storage facilities, Incheon also has a 24-hour sauna open at all times. It is a welcome respite for those of you who have early morning flights and need a quick rest. It costs 15,000 won (approximately $13) during the week and 20,000 won (approximately $17) at night and for those of you who want your personal room to sleep in, you will need to make a reservation in advance. This is also located on the first floor of the basement level in the passenger terminal.

3)   Skip The Long Lines at Immigration

The Smart Entry Service is a trusted traveler program operated by Korea that provides expedited processing for pre-approved, low-risk travelers via the use of e-gates. U.S. Customs and Border Protection has partnered with the Korean Immigration Service to link the SES program with the Global Entry program. You need to apply in advance for this service.

4)   Internet Lounge

If you need to check your itinerary one last time or see if you’ve gotten any new emails, you can go to the internet lounge that also has a fax machine, a copy machine and even a scanner. It is on the second floor of the passenger terminal as well as the third floor of the tax-free shopping terminal and is open 24 hours.

5)   Go Watch a Movie

If you have an extra long layover, you can go to watch a movie at the CGV movie theatre, located on the first floor of the basement level in the transfer terminal.

6)   Rest at the Sky Hub Lounge

If you want to eat a meal or grab a cup of coffee before your flight, check out the Sky Hub Lounge. It has an unlimited salad bar and even has cup ramen and beer for you to enjoy before you ride the plane. It is on the fourth floor of the transfer terminal and is open from 7 a.m to 6 p.m.

7)   Say a Quiet Prayer

For those of you who want to have a moment of meditation and prayer before you ride the plane, there is a private prayer room for you, located on the third floor of the transfer terminal near Gate 24.

8)   Children’s Play Room

If you have children under the age of 8, there are seven locations throughout the airport that are open 24 hours for you to enjoy with your kids. Moreover, there are also private rooms for breastfeeding mothers that are located throughout the airport as well.
