The Korean media has recently been enraptured with four actors born in 1993 who have enjoyed a great burst in popularity and recognition for their potential. Well, it looks like the media has set their eyes on a new foursome of male idols that are currently receiving the spotlight.

Here are four male idols born in 1993 that are expected to shine further in 2016.

Known for being SHINee’s maknae, Taemin debuted at the age of 15 in 2008. Although he was famous and loved for his pretty looks, the singer has grown up and is continuing to exhibit more masculine charms. The singer released his first solo album in 2014 and is planning on releasing his second one this year.

WINNER debuted in 2014 and swept charts and trophies with their hit songs including “Empty” and “Color Ring.” Song Mino went on to release his solo song “I’m Him.” Then he continued to show his skills in “Show Me the Money 4” and proved doubters wrong with the success of his songs.

EXO’s D.O is becoming more and more well-known for his acting skills. Already having projects like the drama “It’s Okay, That’s Love” and movie “Cart” under his belt, the rising actor has two more films coming this year. D.O is definitely breaking negative stereotypes of idol-actors.

BTS has experienced a surge in popularity and Suga is also getting noticed for his producing skills. Before debuting as a BTS member, Suga released mix tapes starting in his hometown of Daegu. The multi-talented rapper has participated in producing a bevy of BTS songs including “Danger,” “Tomorrow,” “Dead Leaves,” and so many more.
