Actor Kim Sung Oh Loses 16 Kilograms for Serial Killer Role

During the press conference for the movie “Waiting for You,” actor Kim Sung Oh revealed that he lost 16 kilograms (approximately 35 pounds) in four weeks.

The actor commented, “When I lost the weight, I became serial killer Ki Bum. Once I succeeded in losing the weight, I didn’t worry about my acting.”

Kim Sung Oh is 180 centimeters tall (approximately 5 feet and 9 inches) and weighed 72 kilograms (approximately 158 pounds). He transformed himself to weigh 52 kilograms (approximately 114 pounds) for the movie.

Fellow actor Yoon Je Moon who also appears in the movie expressed his impression of Kim Sung Oh saying, “I felt like I was looking at the Hollywood actor Christian Bale.”

The thriller “Waiting for You” stars Kim Sung Oh, Yoon Je Moon, and Shim Eun Kyung and will open in theaters on March 10 in Korea.
