Super Junior's Ryeowook Asks Fans to Refrain From Sharing Fancams of His Concert

Super Junior’s Ryeowook has taken to social media to ask fans not to share fancams of his concert.

Ryeowook’s first solo concert, “Ever Lasting Star,” kicked off on February 19. After the end of the second night, Ryeowook posted to his Twitter account, expressing his dismay at people sharing videos from his concert.

Ryeowook wrote, “People have uploaded fancams of the concert… I’m disappointed. Even if it’s for the people who haven’t yet seen the concert, I don’t think it’s right. Please refrain [from sharing fancams].”

Reactions to the tweet have been largely divided between those who agree that sharing the footage is wrong, and those who argue that fancams are sometimes the only access fans (especially international fans) have to the artists. In the case of Ryeowook’s concert, where ticketing was so exclusive because of the size of the venue, even domestic fans had a hard time getting tickets.

So what are your thoughts on the matter? Do you agree with Ryeowook that uploading and sharing the fancams is wrong? Or do you feel that fans are right to want to be included where they otherwise would be unable to?
