Lee Joon Gi Shares His Experiences Filming “Resident Evil 6” With Allure
Lee Joon Gi reveals that he was motivated by Milla Jovovich during his filming for the Hollywood movie “Resident Evil 6.”
He shared his experiences with Allure magazine, saying, “I wouldn’t go as far as to say it was an ‘advancement’ [into the United States]. Since the director doesn’t know Korean, he said that he muted the sound and read my facial expressions and my emotions through the video. He said he did not merely cast me because of my visibility in Asia; I was moved by that.”
He added, “Since it was a special appearance in the movie, it wasn’t that burdensome and on the days I didn’t have filming, I went to the shoots and watched and learned a lot. I was especially motivated by Milla Jovovich. I’ve done a lot of action scenes and it’s something I take pride in but at the same time I do feel a bit burdened by it. So I tried to match as much as I can during the shoots and it was exactly the same for Milla as well. She did not spare her body at all during the shoots. She gave me a lot of advice.”
In the pictorial that was released by the magazine, Lee Joon Gi is wearing a suit with sneakers and leaning casually against a wall. His tall stature and chic expressions give him an even more attractive appearance. In another shot, he is showing a slight smile to the camera.
Lee Joon Gi is currently filming for the upcoming SBS drama “Scarlet Heart:Goryeo,” which was previously named “Moon Lovers.” The drama will be 100 percent pre-produced and is in discussions to air during the latter half of this year. Regarding the drama, Lee Joon Gi said, “I thought that there would be a lot I could learn from director Kim Tae Gyu, who is known for his great filmmaking,” when asked why he chose to participate in the drama.
