INFINITE’s Sungyeol Talks About His Coffee Addiction

INFINITE’s Sungyeol opened up about his addiction to coffee, but compared to others, it doesn’t seem like it’s much!

On the February 24 episode of the tvN variety show “Wednesday Food Talk,” the topic was all about coffee. Sungyeol said, “I cannot live without coffee. I drink at least ten cups of iced Americano a day. I’ve even had an irregular heartbeat because of coffee once,” shocking the other guests on the show.

“Because of my schedules, I’ve had many all-nighters where I needed to focus,” Sungyeol said. “I got addicted to coffee drinking cup after cup of it. At first I drank it just for the caffeine, and only got used to the taste later.”

However, he was upstaged by the next guest, designer Hwang Jae Geun, who declared, “There are times when I’ve drank more than twenty cups a day. It’s to the point where I would even wear coffee cologne if there was one.”

They were then both defeated by Lee Hyun Woo who said, “I’ve drank thirty cups of coffee once.” Jun Hyun Moo, who is known to have a child’s appetite, said, “Whether it is hand-drip coffee or not, all coffee tastes bitter to me. I can’t tell the difference between them.”

On this episode, they talked about the process to make coffee and the different types of coffee and even how to enjoy coffee the best. They were joined by the barista from the original Coffee Prince store Lim Jong Myung who shared about how to make delicious coffee.
