Block B Climbs to Second Place on Japanese Oricon Chart

After seven-member idol group Block B released their Japanese single album “Jackpot (Japanese version)” on February 24, they climbed to second place on Japan’s foremost music chart.

On February 25, a day after their release, Oricon revealed the rankings for their daily singles chart, showing Block B in a solid second place, an impressive showing for a non-domestic group. This single is the Japanese version of Block B’s title track of the same name from their fourth mini-album in 2014.

Their agency, Seven Seasons, released a statement saying, “This ranking means a lot to us. After strong ticket sales in January’s Tokyo and Osaka concerts, we will continue to win strong victories in the Asian market.”

Block B will be promoting in Japan from February 25 to 29 and plan to release a lead single in March as well as their fifth mini-album. On April 2 and 3 they are planning to hold a solo concert at the Seoul Olympic Gymnastics Arena.
