Yoo Ji Tae Confirmed for tvN’s “Good Wife” With Jeon Do Yeon

After it was previously revealed that he was in negotiations with the show, it has been confirmed that actor Yoo Ji Tae will be joining the cast for tvN’s Monday-Tuesday drama “Good Wife.”

“Good Wife” is about a woman, confirmed to be played by Jeon Do Yeon, who assumes responsibility for her family after her husband, to be played by Yoo Ji Tae, is thrown into prison after a very public scandal. It will be a remake of the American television series of the same name that aired on CBS. Directing will be by Lee Jung Hyo who previously directed “Heartless City.”

In this version of the show, Yoo Ji Tae’s character of Lee Tae Joon is a prosecutor with the Seoul Central District Prosecutor’s Office who gets sent to prison and whose wife is then propelled to return to her former career as a lawyer to support her family. Yoo Ji Tae is known for his diverse array of roles, from his dark role in the film “Oldboy” in 2003 to light roles in “One Fine Spring Day” in 2001. He recently starred in the drama “Healer” which aired on KBS alongside Ji Chang Wook and Park Min Young.

“Good Wife” is scheduled to air in July of this year.
