Soompi Is Hiring: Korean/Chinese Drama Writers and Assistant Features Editor

Hello, Soompiers! We are currently looking for talented and creative people to join the Soompi team!

Soompi Contract Assistant Editor

As a Soompi contract assistant editor, you will be working full time from our office in Seoul. Duties will include writing and editing articles (of both Korean and Chinese content). The period for the position is three months, and the position is paid.

Requirements:

  • Passionate about Chinese, Taiwanese, and Hong Kong dramas and entertainment
  • Familiar with Korean dramas and entertainment
  • Strong command of English grammar
  • Ability to write fun and engaging content
  • Strong communication skills
  • Organized, proactive, and dedicated
  • Chinese reading ability is preferred, but not necessary

Since you will be reporting to our office in Seoul, you must be able to work legally in Korea, meaning that you will need to possess a proper visa. F-4 (for people of Korean heritage) and H-1 (for people from Canada, Australia, France, New Zealand, and Japan) will suffice, and other visas may be an option. We cannot sponsor visas, and we do not provide housing or transportation expenses.
