Watch: Eric Nam Shares Lessons Learned From Reporting
On March 25, Eric Nam, Lee Hi, and Kim Chang Wan Band performed on KBS 2TV‘s “Yoo Hee Yeol’s Sketchbook.”
During his interview, Eric Nam speaks up about how he came to Korea to be a singer, but many people still mistake him for a reporter. He says, “At first, I was sad. I even thought about returning to the United States. I signed a contract as a singer, but I found myself interviewing other singers and actors, making me jealous. While watching other performances, I was sad and would wonder when I would be able to stand on a stage and perform like that.”
However, he explains that as he continued to report, he realizes that there was a lot that he gained as well. Eric Nam shares, “My Korean improved a lot, and I was able to get to know many other celebrities. Many people began to recognize me through my interviews. I’m both fascinated, and thankful.”
Eric Nam also talks more in depth about his self-produced songs. At Yoo Hee Yeol‘s request, he performs bits of two songs, “Never the Same,” and “Into U,” which you can watch below!
