Shinhwa Shares Their Surprising Plans for Marriage

Long-time idol group Shinhwa reveals their intention to remain as “Solitary Shinhwa” for the time being.

On March 27, Shinhwa held a press conference for their anniversary concert at Seoul Olympic Stadium, “HERO.”

During the conference, Shinhwa reveals that at the moment, none of the members have any plans to get married.

Kim Dong Wan explains that the members started talking more about marriage two or three years ago, and came to the conclusion that since they’re already later than expected, there’s no need to rush. He also reveals, “We agreed to talk about it again after we turn 40. In addition, we would need Eric‘s permission to marry.”

Eric adds, “We receive a lot of questions about marriage because we’re at the age to get married. Besides the fact that we’re singers, and idols, that’s something nobody really knows until that moment you decide to get married, and until then, we will stay as ‘Solitary Shinhwa.'”

This concert celebrates Shinhwa’s impressive 18th anniversary of their debut. They explain how meaningful the time they’ve spent with fans and each other has been, and also their future plans.

Shinhwa also says, “We celebrate every year, during March, and that holds a special meaning to us. We will continue to work hard in order to show good performances.”

Congratulations to Shinhwa once again on their 18th anniversary!
