IU Reveals New Self-Written Song Through Fan Café

IU has given her fans a lovely present in the form of a new self-produced song! On April 1, she uploaded the song, simply titled “New Song,” on her fan cafe. Both the lyrics and the song were written by IU herself.

About three and a half minutes long, the song pairs IU’s clear vocals with soothing acoustic guitar as she sings about missing someone.

Last year, IU released the special digital single “Heart” as a surprise present for her fans. The song rose to No. 1 on the music charts shortly afterwards. Her last official musical release was her mini-album “Chat-Shire” last October.

IU’s agency, Loen Tree, responded on April 2, “IU decided to make one of the songs she’d been working on a present to her fans. There are no plans to release a new song officially as of now.”
