YoonA's Drama "God of War, Zhao Yun" Debuts at Top of Ratings

Girls’ Generation member YoonA is quickly rising as a goddess of the ratings in China.

On April 3, “God of War, Zhao Yun” had their first broadcast on Hunan TV and scored a national viewer rating of 1.73 percent, achieving the number one spot in its time slot. In China, surpassing one percent in ratings nationwide signifies a successful program and it goes to show YoonA’s great popularity and influence in the country.

“God of War, Zhao Yun” is a historical drama about the famous military figure Zhao Yun who lived in the early Three Kingdoms period. YoonA plays the role of the beautiful Xiaohou Qing Yi who falls in love with Zhao Yun, only to fall into a dilemma once she realizes an unfortunate truth about her lover.

The drama has been garnering a great deal of interest even before its broadcast, due to the with the collaboration of China’s top actor Lin Geng Xin with top stars from Korea. Led by famed Chinese director Ting Yang-Kuo and martial arts director Guo Jian Yong, the drama provides high quality production that is sure to delight local viewers.
