Onew Comments on His Experience in "Descendants of the Sun"

Onew has shared comments about filming the KBS2 drama “Descendants of the Sun.”

“This was the first traditional drama I’ve been in, so there were some obstacles, but I successfully finished filming by talking with the director and seniors, who gave me a lot of lessons and help,” Onew said through his managing agency, SM Entertainment.

“I want to thank all the actors, the writer, director, staff members, and viewers,” he said. “I think this drama will be engraved in my memory for a long time.”

In “Descendants of the Sun,” Onew took on the role of Lee Chi Hoon, a cardiothoracic resident. He successfully portrayed all the sides of his character, from a lively and energetic youngster to a passionate and thoughtful doctor.

The finale of “Descendants of the Sun” aired on April 14.
