Akdong Musician Wants To Try Diverse Music Styles From Now On

On May 5, Akdong Musician’s Lee Chanhyuk and Lee Soohyun held their comeback album “Spring Vol. 1” release showcase and revealed that they want to widen the range of their music style.

During the event, Lee Chanhyuk pointed out, “Some people think ‘Re-Bye’ does not contain Akdong Musician’s signature color.”

He continued, “However, ‘Re-Bye’ was written even before our first album ‘200%.’ We wrote it during our ‘K-Pop Star’ days. Just like this situation, we wanted to express that there are a lot of things we haven’t shown the public yet through this album. We want to try more daring and diverse kinds of music in the future.”

Lee Soohyun said, “If people ask us what kind of music genre Akdong Musician is under, I want to tell them it’s ‘Akmu.’ We want to show that we are not limited to just one genre. We hope that we can widen our range of music and have people realize that whatever songs we release, it’s ours.”

Meanwhile, Akdong Musician released its new album “Spring Vol. 1″ on May 4.
