Tiffany Talks About Comparisons To Fellow Girls' Generation Member Taeyeon
Girls’ Generation member Tiffany shared openly about the inevitable comparisons that come with debuting solo from her group.
On the May 17 broadcast of the MBC FM4U radio show “Kim Shin Young’s Hope Song at Noon,” Tiffany was asked, “You are the second to debut from Girls’ Generation as a solo. Isn’t it burdensome to be following up after Taeyeon?” She answered, “Of course, all the members have a burden about the person who came before them.”
She continued, “Taeyeon and I connect the best through music and we are the closest through music. We know each other’s musical colors well enough that we also even promote as a unit. That’s why we believed that we want to make music that we each want to do.”
She added, “That’s why, if the results are good, that’s good,; if they aren’t, then I’m trying not to dwell on it. I’m making music with a strong conviction. If you pay too much attention to rankings, you don’t do music that contains your color; you only do music that satisfies the public’s taste.”
