Ryu Jun Yeol Talks About Overcoming "Reply 1988" Popularity With "Lucky Romance"

MBC’s new Wednesday-Thursday drama “Lucky Romance” held a press conference on May 25 at MBC’s Golden Mouse Hall.

Male lead, Ryu Jun Yeol, was asked if he was worried about “Lucky Romance” after enjoying much success with “Reply 1988.”

The actor answered, “I always have a lot of worries before starting all work. After starting filming all of my worries were taken care of and I am cheerfully and happily filming.”

He also showed great affection for “Reply 1988” and commented, “My previous drama [‘Reply 1988’] is a work that I am thankful for as it helped me get to this spot. Rather than surpassing my previous drama, it’s more important to do my best on ‘Lucky Romance’ through concerns and efforts.”

Ryu Jun Yeol continued, “In a chatroom with my fellow actors from my previous drama, we support one another. We support each other and tell each other to be healthy.”

“Lucky Romance” is a romantic drama that tells the story of a woman who blindly trusts superstitions and a genius game company CEO. The first episode airs on May 25 at 10 p.m. KST.
