Hwang Jung Eum And Ryu Jun Yeol Discuss Competing With Former Co-Stars Ji Sung And Hyeri

At MBC’s press conference for its new Wednesday-Thursday drama “Lucky Romance,” lead actors Hwang Jung Eum and Ryu Jun Yeol answered questions about competing for ratings alongside former co-stars Ji Sung and Girl’s Day’s Hyeri.

Hwang Jung Eum previously worked with Ji Sung in “Secret” and “Kill Me, Heal Me.” Meanwhile, Ryu Jun Yeol acted with Hyeri in “Reply 1988.”

Ji Sung and Hyeri are currently appearing in SBS’s “Entertainer” which airs at the same time as “Lucky Romance.”

Ryu Jun Yeol commented, “We have a ‘Reply 1988’ chatroom and we cheer each other on rather than feel competition. A lot of actors are working on dramas and films in that chat room. We give and receive messages of support.”

He continued, “The ‘Reply 1988’ friends are so busy, so they are starting to feel unwell. We worry about each other’s health.”

Furthermore, Hwang Jung Eum said, “I haven’t been able to watch every single episode of ‘Entertainer,’ but I have watched a few and I said, ‘It’s Ji Sung oppa!’ He must be very tired due to filming, I hope he gains energy and continues to do well. Hyeri is so pretty, too. I hope both of them do well.”

Looks like the actors are all about supporting their former co-stars!
