JTBC Confirms End Of

JTBC’s singing variety show “Sugar Man” will end its run in July, with no definite plans for a second season.

This was revealed by the show’s CP Yoon Hyun Joon on May 30. “‘Sugar Man’ will air its final episode in early July. The final shoot is set to take place on June 22.”

“From the beginning, we decided to divide the show up into seasons. Our initial plan was to do 16 episodes, but we’ve already surpassed 30 episodes. After discussing with the hosts and producers, we came to the conclusion that it would be best to end the show here,” he explained and added how they are also starting to run out of candidates for weekly guests, or “Sugar Men.”

“It’s time to wrap up the first part of ‘To You Project.’ We can bring back ‘Sugar Man’ any time if we just come up with a lineup, probably next year at the earliest. We’re now preparing for our next project which is likely to premiere this fall.”

“Sugar Man” hosts Yoo Jae Suk and Yoo Hee Yeol are said to be working on the upcoming new show with the producers.
