Watch: Akdong Musician Covers BIGBANG’s “Loser” With Witty Self-Diss Lyrics

Brother-sister duo Akdong Musician guest on June 1’s episode of “Weekly Idol,” where they take the chance to share their version of BIGBANG’s track “Loser”!

The duo’s songwriter Lee Chan Hyuk says that he had been working on a cover project for their label mates BIGBANG’s hit song, but it fell through. Lee Chan Hyuk and Lee Soo Hyun then share their cover of “Loser,” featuring some of their famous cute and witty lyrics.

“Loser, born in 1996, who wants to be 180 centimeters tall,” they sing. “That short kid in the mirror, that’s me.”

“Oppa is a loser, born in 1996, who won’t be growing any taller,” they continue. “Don’t cross your legs, you in the mirror.” The last line is a reference to one the duo’s breakout songs from “K-Pop Star,” which was entitled “Don’t Cross Your Legs.”

Lee Chan Hyuk then grins as he finishes off by singing, “I’m a loser.” He explains afterwards that he wrote the song about himself.
