EXID’s “L.I.E” Under Controversy For Sexual Themes In Music Video
EXID made their comeback on June 1 with their full-length album “Street” and the title track “L.I.E.”
The accompanying music video takes place in a hotel with themes taken from the movie “The Grand Budapest Hotel.” However, many of the scenes have implied sexual content that Korean media outlets have been pointing out, despite the fact that EXID’s previous music videos have also contained suggestive imagery.
The controversial elements include the use of peaches to symbolize a woman’s butt, Hani’s suggestive use of a pepper shaker, the clock containing the numbers “69,” a shadow placed suggestively over an image of member Junghwa lying down on the floor, and another suggestive use of a bell.
