Wassup Opens Crowdfunding Campaign For Next Album
Wassup is the latest idol group to open a crowdfunding campaign!
On June 1, they opened a Makestar account and uploaded a video that shows snippets of their previous songs. At the end, the seven members ask their fans to support their project and promise to share the album production process along with them.
The campaign runs until July 28 and aims to raise 7.7 million won (about $6600). As of June 4, they have raised 31.6 percent of their goal. The higher the donations, the greater the rewards, including an official certificate of honorary producer, a signed CD, getting your name in the album credits, ringtones recorded by the members, various goods, tickets to a fanmeeting, and the opportunity to produce a duet with the group.
Wassup debuted in 2013 and are known for their hip-hop style. Their last comeback was in 2015 with the song “Stupid Liar.”
