Former miss A Member Jia Signs With Chinese Label

Jia is launching into her first official activities under a new agency after parting ways with JYP Entertainment and girl group miss A after the expiration of her contract in late May of this year.

On June 8, Jia announced the news on her personal Weibo, reposting a post by her new agency Banana Plan Entertainment. In the photo, Jia can be seen enjoying her time with fans. Banana Plan Entertainment writes, “[The fans] send their blessings to her new beginning. Friends and sunbaes have also sent video messages. We are grateful for the fans who came out.”

Jia recently held a large press conference in a hotel in Shanghai to announce the news regarding her new label, marking her first official appearance since leaving JYP.

A rep from Banana Culture, which houses girl group EXID, clarified any potential name confusion with Banan Plan Entertainment on June 9, “Banana Plan is a different agency from Banana Culture.”
